Hand-Dyed Maritime Wool Yarn
For the first time, we are excited to offer our hand-dyed Maritime Wool Yarn to our online customers! A favourite at our pop-up shops and events, this beautifully rustic yarn is now available for fibre artists across Canada and beyond. Each skein is made from 100% wool, traditionally woollen spun at MacAusland’s Woollen Mill on Prince Edward Island, and hand dyed in small batches by Periwinkle Laine.
This versatile yarn is available in 2, 3, and 5-ply weights. The 2-ply is comparable to a DK or Worsted weight yarn, while the 3-ply is similar to an Aran or Bulky weight. Our 5-ply is a wonderfully chunky Bulky to Super Bulky weight yarn that adds beautiful texture, dimension, and visual impact to rug hooking, knitting, and other creative fibre projects.Richly coloured and full of character, it is perfect for rug hooking, knitting, weaving, punch needle, and a variety of creative fibre projects.
As each skein is hand dyed in small batches, colours may vary slightly, adding to the unique beauty of every project. Quantities are limited, but don’t worry—more colours will be coming soon!
