Welcome To
We are excited to share our passion for wool, rug hooking and our creative inspiration with you. We reside on the red shores of Prince Edward Island and are influenced by the colours and textures Mother Nature bestows on our little Island. We think that little piece of the Island goes into every rug we hook and every fibre we dye.

Hand Dyed Wool
At Periwinkle Laine we are passionate about colours. Almost 100 % of the wool we sell at Periwinkle Laine is hand-dyed in our dye kitchen. All of our colours are repeatable but seldom turn out identical given the variations in wool, temperature, water and how often we stir the dye pot. If you are starting a large project, where colour matters, we recommend you purchase your entire wool requirements at the same time.
We can custom dye colours to suit your needs. We love a challenge and are happy to get out the dye pots and create any colour your heart desires. If you require assistance in colour planning give us a call. We would be happy to suggests colours for your project.
Rug Hooking Cutters
A rug hooking cutter serves as a fundamental tool in the rug hooking craft, assisting the cutting of strips of wool fabric into uniform widths. These strips are subsequently hooked through a base material, such as linen, burlap, or rug warp, to craft rugs, mats, or other textile art pieces. The Periwinkle Laine Fabric Cutter features sharp cutter blades that divide a strip of wool into 3 to 4 pieces of equal width.
