Waves of Creativity II returns to the stunning Blackbush Beach Resort in Grand Tracadie, PEI, on October 15, 16 & 17, 2026. Hosted by Periwinkle Laine, this second annual retreat brings back the same inspiring location and welcoming atmosphere—with a refreshed creative focus designed to help you finish unfinished projects, explore new ideas, and create work that feels bold and personal.
Throughout the three days, participants will take part in relaxed, hands-on mini-workshops focused on design, colour, and composition. You’ll be guided in developing your own rug ideas, reworking unfinished pieces, and building confidence in your creative decisions. Whether you’re refining a project that’s been waiting in the cupboard or starting something completely new, this retreat is about trusting your instincts, enjoying the process, and reconnecting with the joy of making.
Wrapped in ocean air, beach walks, hot tubs, laughter, and long creative days, Waves of Creativity II becomes more than a retreat—it becomes a turning point in your rug hooking journey.
Registration for Waves of Creativity II is first-come, first-served and space is limited.
Fees, Registration & Payment Information
The retreat fee is $450 + tax. The retreat fee does not include accommodations.
The retreat will be held at Blackbush Beach Resort in Grand Tracadie, PEI. All participants must arrange their accommodations through Periwinkle Laine, who will coordinate room bookings directly with the resort. A three-night stay is required for all retreat participants. Most rooms are priced at $179 per night plus tax, with King Suites available at $229 per night plus tax. Once you register, Periwinkle Laine will contact you to confirm and secure your accommodations.
Your retreat includes:

Please note that the retreat fee does not include evening meals on October 16 or 17, 2026. Participants are welcome to dine at Fin Folk Foods or the Fluke Dining Room (meals are at your own expense), or to travel into Charlottetown or nearby communities to explore other dining options.
Payment & Cancellation Policy
- Participants may choose to pay in full at the time of registration, or secure their spot with a $50 non-refundable deposit.
- Full payment is due by July 1, 2026.
- If you cancel before July 1, 2026 and have only paid the deposit, the $50 deposit will be forfeited.
- Cancellations made on or after July 1, 2026 are non-refundable, regardless of whether full payment has been made.
- If we are able to fill your spot from our waitlist, you will receive a refund of any additional fees paid, less a $50 + tax administrative fee.
