This rug hooking pattern features a cluster of hollyhocks swaying on their tall, elegant stems, a symbol of cottage gardens and natural charm. Hollyhocks come in many colours: deep magentas, soft pinks, rich purples, buttery yellows, and whites, with occasional hints of coral or peach. To make the flowers pop perhaps a background of soft sky resemble a sunny day, a sage green for a natural garden feel, or a creamy beige to mimic the siding on a cottage.
Pattern is hand-drawn on 100% linen, surrounded by a border and machine stitched to prevent fraying.
