Rug warp is a strong, durable type of fabric that is used as a foundation cloth for hooking rugs.  It’s typically made of cotton (sometime of wool) and provides structure and stability for hooking rugs.

Rug warp and linen are similar in that they are both used in rug hooking.  Linen is know for its strength and durability, while rug warp offers its own advantages, such as flexibility and ease of use.  However, it is also known for its strength and durability.  Which one to choose for rug hooking is often a personal choice.
